almapharm CereFit K powder offers a comprehensive formula specifically designed for cats to support brain metabolism and vitality in older cats. It is designed to specifically promote nerve metabolism and brain function and is ideal for compensating for diet- and age-related deficiencies in neurotrophic B vitamins and antioxidants. almapharm CereFit K provides medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), consisting of approx. 70% C8 caprylic acid and approx. 30% C10 capric acid. These act as a ketogenic energy source for neurons and function completely independently of glucose metabolism. Therefore, the powder is also an excellent source of medium-chain fatty acids as part of a ketogenic diet.
In addition, valuable antioxidants, carnitine, taurine, and neurotrophic B vitamins improve cerebral mitochondrial energy utilization. The phosphatidylserine from lecithin optimizes cell communication in the central nervous system (CNS). Furthermore, L-tryptophan, along with green oats and melatonin, reliably ensure a balanced neurotransmitter profile.
