After physical exertion, muscle cells can be damaged, depending on how the horse reacts to the free radicals caused by the exertion.
Myostem Protec is a food supplement that helps the sport horse to prepare for an exercise and the subsequent muscle recovery by promoting muscle resistance (through antioxidants, amino acids...). In order to protect muscle cells from this so-called oxidative stress and achieve faster muscle recovery, the horse has two mechanisms of defense against free radicals: enzymes and nutrients through the supply of antioxidants.
Horses supported with Myostem Protec perform more regularly throughout the season. They finish their competitions more easily and convalesce more quickly.
The Myostem Protec formula is a real innovation because it contains SOD (SuperOxide Dismutase), an antioxidant enzyme found in the horse's body, as well as highly concentrated, classic antioxidants such as vitamin E and selenium.
