Mix the herbal blend evenly into the main feed daily for a period of 2 to 4 weeks. After this period, a 4- to 6-week break from feeding is recommended before the treatment can be repeated if necessary. The gram measurement is key for accurate dosing, as the actual volume may vary depending on the structure of the herbs.
Lightly moisten the main feed before mixing in the herbs. This helps the fine herbs adhere better to the feed, reduces the amount that gets picked out or blown away, and allows the birds to consume them more evenly. Always provide your chickens with plenty of fresh drinking water.
If the herbal mixture is used in the laying nest or for bedding, the specified dosage does not apply. In this case, use the herbs sparingly as needed.
