The recipes from Catz Finefood are modeled after the mouse as prey, which means that the cat’s natural prey is replicated in terms of nutrients.
The recipes therefore consist largely of fresh meat and a small amount of vegetables and fruits (corresponding to the contents of a mouse’s stomach).
Cats are carnivores; their digestive system is therefore structured quite differently from that of herbivores. Therefore, the most digestible and beneficial diet for cats must consist predominantly of meat.
However, it is important to note that not all animal proteins are created equal: muscle meat and organ meats are of significantly higher quality than low-grade slaughter by-products; therefore, Catz uses only fresh muscle meat and organ meats in its wet food. No animal by-products are used.
Furthermore, Catz’s recipes contain no grains whatsoever and only a few, precisely listed ingredients, making the food suitable even for cats with sensitive digestive systems or food allergies.
