Natural source of calcium to meet the needs of raw feeding.
Calcium intake plays a particularly important role in raw feeding. This can only be achieved by feeding sufficient bone. Not every dog can or wants to eat bones and it is not always easy to feed cats whole prey (mice or chicks).
Fit-BARF eggshell powder is an easily utilizable source of animal calcium for daily feeding. It provides balance in raw feeding by compensating for the high phosphorus content of the meat with its natural calcium content. Due to the fine grinding, the product has a high bioavailability.
Benefits:
- Neutralization of excess phosphorus in predominantly meat-based diets
- For bone-free diets
- As an extra source of calcium in times of increased demand (growth, pregnancy, lactation)
Mix into the feed daily:
Dogs: 1.5 g / 10 kg body weight
Cats: 0.75 g / 5 kg body weight. 1 quarter teaspoon corresponds to approx. 1.5 g.
1 g eggshell powder contains approx. 370 mg calcium.
Pregnant and lactating bitches and growing puppies need up to 180 mg Ca / kg body weight.
The daily requirement for calcium is approx. 50-90 mg Ca / kg body weight.
If you also feed bones, we recommend reducing the amount.
