Copacabana hamster wheel Roundy
The Copacabana running wheels made of untreated wood are very quiet. The completely closed back makes it a very safe running wheel. As some mice and hamsters unfortunately have a habit of peeing in the running wheel, the wheel can be painted with non-toxic paint (DIN EN 71/3 (blue angel)) if required and can therefore be cleaned regularly with a damp cloth or the running surface can be covered with a cork mat, which can be replaced if necessary.
The ø20 cm running wheel is suitable for small mice and Roborowski dwarf hamsters, for golden hamsters and gerbils we recommend the ø29 cm running wheel. An even larger wheel is better for very large golden/teddy hamsters. It is important that the animal can run in it with a straight back, otherwise it can cause serious health problems.
Dimensions:
Diameter 20 cm: for small colored mice and Roborowski dwarf hamsters
Diameter 29 cm: for mice/racing mice, dwarf hamsters and golden/teddy hamsters (for larger golden/teddy hamsters we recommend a running wheel with an even larger diameter (approx. 32 cm).
