Covetrus eye cleaning wipes for dogs and cats are sterile single-use cleaning wipes for daily eye cleaning. The wipes are very soft and soaked in a fragrance-free solution. It moisturizes eyelids and eyelashes - for a complete cleaning of the sensitive eye area. For more effective cleaning, the wipe can be heated in the packaging in the microwave (up to 40 °C).

Application:

A) For daily eye cleansing: Open the envelope with clean hands and remove the wipe. Unfold it completely and gently wipe along the edge of the eyelid and through the eyelashes with the eye closed.

B) Hot application: For stubborn secretions, a warm, moist compress on the affected area is preferable. To do this, leave the cloth in the packaging envelope to heat it up. Place it completely sealed in a glass and cover it with water. Place it in the microwave at 700 W for one minute. Then check whether the product has warmed up (40 °C). After heating, open the envelope, remove the cloth, leave it folded and gently massage the affected area for 1-2 minutes with the eye closed.

C) Cold application: In case of itching or swelling of the eyelids, apply as a cold compress to the affected area to achieve a decongestant effect. Cool the compress in the refrigerator for at least half an hour. Open the compress and place the folded cloth on the affected area for 1-2 minutes. Try to keep the eye closed. As described by the professional association, inflammation of the eyelid margin and occlusion of the tear duct should be treated with warm compresses.
