Simple and precise control of the CO₂ content in the aquarium. So CO₂ is always in the green range. Depending on the CO₂ content, the CO₂ special indicator reacts with a color change:

• Blue = too little CO₂
• Green = CO₂ optimal
• Yellow = too much CO₂.

The CO₂ quantity in the aquarium can be read directly from the six-color comparison scale in milligrams per liter. This makes it very easy and safe to set the correct amount of CO₂ to be added. Particularly simple and accurate thanks to special CO₂ indicator. Conventional CO₂ long-term tests are filled with a mixture of aquarium water and indicator. Disadvantages include: the acids present in any aquarium water (e.g. humic acids, nitrate, etc.) can falsify the test result. In addition, other CO₂ tests require prior measurement of the carbonate hardness, as they actually only measure the pH value. The Dennerle CO₂ long-term test Correct, on the other hand, works with a ready-to-use CO₂ special indicator that is not mixed with aquarium water but used pure.

Note: Not suitable for measuring the content of liquid carbon fertilizers in aquarium water, such as Dennerle Carbo Booster Max or Carbo Elixier Bio, as these do not contain CO₂ (carbon dioxide), but other carbon compounds.

Measurement of the pH value

In addition to the CO₂ content, the pH value can also be displayed using a 6-color scale. This is done here as a function of the carbonate hardness. A corresponding 6-color scale is included in the scope of delivery for each carbonate hardness measured.
