Ferplast rat home Furet XL
The Furet XL rat house from Ferplast is suitable for approx. 2 rats. As rats live in large family groups or colonies in the wild, they should be kept in a group of at least two animals for species-appropriate housing.
The equipment consists of the following accessories: two floors, a ladder, a corner toilet, a bowl, a Hammock for relaxing and a plastic tunnel for playing.
Dimensions:
Internal dimensions: 76 x 71 x 85 cm
External dimensions: 80 x 75 x 86.5 cm
Bowl height: 18 cm
Internal surface area: 0.53m2
Internal volume: 0.45m3
Number of animals: min. 2, max. 5 rats (for more than 2 rats, however, we recommend a larger enclosure such as the Ferplast Furet Tower rat house)
When purchasing a rodent home, rodent hutch and free-range enclosure, please observe the provisions of the Animal Welfare Ordinance. We also recommend that you carefully read the Swiss Animal Welfare brochure, which you can find under "Downloads".
You can also use the following link to calculate the minimum area for the desired species, size and number of animals: https://www.tierhaltungsrechner.ch
