The Ferplast Multipla rodent cage can be assembled in various ways until you have found the ideal configuration for you. In addition, you can increase the available living space thanks to the separately available Base Extension and Roof Extension kits. Some suggestions for alternative configurations can be found in the instructions (see "Downloads").

The cage is ideal for mice and is fully equipped with a house, bowl, drinking bottle, running wheel and tubes. However, as the running wheel supplied is very small, we recommend that you buy a larger one with a diameter of at least 25 cm to prevent damage and pain to the musculoskeletal system.

The transparent plastic walls allow a complete view of the animal inside. The high floor offers the possibility of a high bedding layer in which mice and hamsters can live out their digging instinct. We recommend this enclosure for mice and to a limited extent for hamsters (the tubes are very narrow for golden hamsters and we only recommend keeping a dwarf hamster in it!) Bars are not ideal for hamsters, which unlike mice are poor climbers, as they can easily fall and injure themselves. When used for hamsters, the enclosure should be set up accordingly to avoid deep/hard falls as far as possible.

Note: The Multipla cage is not suitable for rodents larger than mice and dwarf hamsters! On the one hand because of its size and robustness and on the other hand because of the tube and hole diameters! For larger rodents, narrow tubes can become a life-threatening danger!

Multipla is supplied in a kit and is easy to assemble: Simply connect the panels and plastic parts with the special locking systems and connectors, no special installation tools required.

Optional extensions include the Base Extension, which can extend the enclosure lengthways or around corners. With 2 Base Extensions it would also be possible to achieve a square enclosure area.

The Roof Extension can also extend the enclosure upwards in places like a small "tower".
