Flee Environmental Spray—Effective Flea Control!

Flee controls flea and dust mite infestations in the home environment (apartment, car upholstery, pet resting areas).
Flee is odorless, pesticide-free, and allergen-free, and is suitable for households with people and pets.

The active ingredient in Flee, dimethicone, mechanically immobilizes all life cycle stages of fleas (eggs, larvae, pupae, and adult fleas) for up to 9 weeks and binds house dust mite allergens.

  • Suitable for households with people and pets
  • Pesticide-free
  • Effective against fleas for up to 9 weeks
  • Binds mites and allergens
  • Rooms can be used normally during and after application
  • Odorless
  • Effective against all stages of flea development through immobilization

Directly treating your pet with a suitable flea treatment extends the flea-free period.

Directions for use:

  • Shake well before use!
  • Hold the spray nozzle of the Can approx. 40 cm away from the surface to be treated.
  • Spray each square meter of the area to be treated for 7–14 seconds.
  • Spray all surfaces that come into direct contact with your pet.
  • Hard surfaces such as tile and laminate flooring generally do not need to be treated with Flee. For larger areas, it is recommended to shake the Can again occasionally to ensure even application.
  • Treated materials such as carpets and upholstered furniture may temporarily appear dark. The discoloration will disappear once the product has completely dried. Wash your hands after use.
  • If smooth surfaces are treated, their surface may remain damp and slippery for approx. 30 minutes due to the product’s oily consistency.
  • Flee can be used on most materials. To be safe, please test for material compatibility on a hidden area before use on sensitive materials, such as leather.

Additional information

The Most Common Questions & Answers About FLEE at a Glance

How does FLEE work?
FLEE works purely through physical means. This means that adult fleas are immobilized by the sticky effect of the active ingredient “dimethicone.” Larvae, pupae, and eggs are coated with FLEE, preventing them from developing further. This leads to the death of these life stages.

How do I use FLEE?
Shake the can well before use. Hold the spray nozzle of the can approx. 40 cm away from the surface to be treated and spray in slow, sweeping motions.

How long does FLEE remain effective?
After applying FLEE, the treated areas remain flea-free for up to 9 weeks. After this period, reapplication may be necessary. Additional regular treatment of pets with flea control products ensures a significantly longer flea-free period. Your veterinarian will advise you on choosing a suitable product.

FLEE “immobilizes” fleas—does that mean the fleas become active again once FLEE’s effectiveness wears off?
No, the fleas do not become active again after the nine-week period has elapsed, as their developmental stages are no longer viable by that time.

How dangerous are the ingredients in FLEE?
Unlike other environmental sprays, FLEE contains no pesticides whatsoever. It contains silicones, which are safe and found in many products intended for human use. For example, they are found in face creams, cosmetics, and lotions used to treat head lice in children.

Can I spray FLEE directly on my dog or cat?
No. FLEE is an environmental spray and is not suitable for use on your dog or cat.

Where should I use FLEE?
FLEE can be used in all areas of your home. Spray all surfaces that come into direct contact with your pet or that may be infested, such as your pet’s sleeping areas, carpets, sofas, and car seats.

What is FLEE’s shelf life?
The shelf life of the Can is two years. Once opened, the Can should be used up within this period.

Do I also need to treat tile and laminate floors with FLEE?
Hard, non-porous tile and laminate floors do not need to be treated. Vacuuming and wet mopping are usually sufficient for smooth floors.

Can my dog or cat stay in the room while I’m using FLEE?
Yes. However, we recommend not leaving your pets in the room while you’re using FLEE, as they may find the sound of the spray very unpleasant. You can, however, let your pet back into the room immediately after application.

Can I vacuum after using FLEE?
Once the spray has dried thoroughly, you can vacuum again without any concerns. Vacuuming does not affect FLEE’s effectiveness. However, we recommend waiting 1–2 days before vacuuming for the first time after using FLEE.

Can I use FLEE on my leather sofa?
FLEE can be used on almost all surfaces. However, test the product on an inconspicuous area before use to check for material compatibility.

Can fleas also be transmitted to humans?
Yes, fleas are not host-specific. Although fleas do not live on humans, they can bite them and cause red spots, especially on the ankles and calves.

Do I need to treat my bed with FLEE if my pet sleeps in it?
Normally, bedding does not need to be treated. However, the bedding should be washed at 60°C, and the mattress should at least be vacuumed. A pet with a flea infestation should not be allowed in bed.

Do I also need to spray the curtains with FLEE?
No, furnishings generally do not require treatment unless the pet sleeps on them.

Is FLEE safe for my other pets in the room (e.g., fish, reptiles, birds, etc.)?
Yes. Many other environmental sprays contain pesticides that can be highly toxic to fish and reptiles, for example. In contrast, FLEE can be safely used in an environment with other animal species.

Do I need to open the windows during or after using FLEE?
No, FLEE is completely odorless and pesticide-free. Therefore, there is no need to ventilate the room during or after spraying.

Can FLEE also be used in cages?
Yes, but remove the animals from the cage before use. Spray the cage area and the toys, and wait 30 minutes before putting the animals back in the cage.

Is FLEE effective against other mites and parasites?
The test results for FLEE pertain to all four life stages of the flea population as well as house dust mites. Therefore, no conclusions can be drawn as to whether FLEE is effective against other parasites.

Darf ich das Spray auch im Haus anwenden wenn ich schwanger bin?
Your iPet team

Your iPet team

Your iPet team
