Proper barfing or cooking for the dog during the illness:

As the protein and phosphorus content is very high with this feeding method, and this is not beneficial for a diseased kidney, the diet should be adjusted. It may continue to be barfed or cooked, but with a little less fat and a little more carbohydrate. The diet is then optimally supported with Vitamin Optimix Renal.

Regular consultations and blood tests with your veterinarian are advisable Recipes for dogs of different weight classes on the label salmon oil capsules for an ample supply of omega-3 fatty acids. For low-protein cooking and BARF, additional carbohydrates are necessary. In addition, the choice of meat should now be fattier and less overall. The food supplement Vitamin Optimix Renal supplements BARF and cooked rations with all the important nutrients and supports the low-phosphorus and low-protein diet for dogs with its special vitamin-mineral mixture.

* Note: Depending on the severity of the kidney disease, the use of an additional phosphate binder may be recommended. Please discuss this individually with your vet.

Energy requirements may vary from person to person, so the quantities of food may differ from the recommendation.

Roastmeat or cook in water. Fattier meat sources (e.g. goulash, prime rib, beef head meat, duck or mutton) should be used.

To provide essential fatty acids, 75% safflower, hemp or sunflower oil and 25% salmon oil should be used. Alternatively, a mixed oil, e.g. Futtermedicus Optinature Fellglanz Barf-Öl, can be used. One teaspoon of oil is approx. 4 g.

To begin with, add the mineral feed to the food in small portions over 4 - 5 days. Please do not heat, but only mix into the cooled feed ration.
1 measuring spoon (spread) corresponds to approx. 3.0 g.
