Vitamin Optimix Feline is:
- for young and adult, healthy cats
- especially for barfing or cooking without additional bone feeding
- provides cats with all the vitamins and minerals they need
- contains the amino acid taurine, which is essential for cats
- also contains calcium and fat-soluble vitamins, which are important when feeding without bones and offal
- optimally rounds off the BARF ration or cooked ration
- promotes the immune system as it contains important nutrients for it
- includes BARF recipes and cooking recipes for cats of different weight classes

Why do you need a food supplement for BARFing? Our little hunters get all the nutrients they need in nature. They eat mice, fish and small birds with all the trimmings: meat, offal, bones, intestinal contents and coat. This is how they cover their need for minerals, trace elements and vitamins. If we feed our cats BARF or home-cooked food, we have to make sure that they also get these nutrients. Otherwise, deficiency symptoms may occur. It is therefore important to supplement the BARF or cooked recipe for the cat with the right food supplement.

Depending on how active your cat is, deviations from the recommended quantities are possible.
We recommend feeding fatty muscle meats such as beef ribs, duck and pork chops cooked or roasted.
Meat: Beef, turkey, chicken, lamb and fish are well suited - can also be cooked or roasted
Flakes: For seniors, it makes sense to give additional flakes, e.g. potato flakes, rice, millet or oats

Est-ce qu'il y a des cendres?
Your iPet team Le Futtermedicus Vitamin Optimix pour chats est un mélange de vitamines et de minéraux pour compléter les repas que vous préparez vous-même. Il est composé de carbonate de calcium, de chlorure de potassium et de chlorure de sodium, complétés par des vitamines.
Par cendres ou cendres brutes dans les aliments pour chats, on entend les résidus qui restent lors de l'analyse des aliments lorsqu'ils sont brûlés. Elles se composent principalement de minéraux.
On n'ajoute donc jamais de matière brûlée à l'aliment pour animaux, mais la teneur en cendres brutes désigne la quantité de minéraux dans un aliment. Comme la vitamine Optimix pour chats est principalement composée de minéraux, sa teneur en cendres brutes est certainement proche de 100%.

Kann man auch Innereien füttern, wenn man dieses Zusatzmittel gibt? Oder besteht dann die Gefahr, dass etwas überdosiert wird (bspw. Vitamin A bei der zusätzlichen Verfütterung von Leber)?

Sie schreiben bei den Kundenfragen, dass man zu Vitamin Optimum Feline keine Innereien füttern darf. Wieso ist das so? Ich füttere zusätzlich zum Muskelfleisch Innereien. Jetzt mache ich mir Sorgen. Meine Katze hat Probleme mit Augenausfluss. Kann das ein Zusammenhang haben?
Your iPet team Vitamin- und Mineralstoffmischungen zielen darauf ab, selbst zubereitete Rationen zu vollwertigen Mahlzeiten zu ergänzen. Die Dosierung ist dabei immer auf ein spezifisches Rezept abgestimmt, an das man sich halten sollte. Beim Vitamin Optimix Feline enthält dieses Rezept keine Innereien, sondern nur Muskelfleisch. Innereien, besonders Leber, sind reich an Vitamin A. Da Vitamin Optimix Feline den Vitaminbedarf vollständig deckt, kann die langfristige zusätzliche Fütterung eine Hypervitaminose A verursachen. Ein direkter Zusammenhang zum Augenausfluss ist unwahrscheinlich, dieser sollte jedoch tierärztlich abgeklärt werden. Sollte Unsicherheit bezüglich der Ausgewogenheit der Fütterung bestehen, so ist eine Rationsberechnung durch unsere Tierärzte möglich.

Wir benutzen Vitamin Optimix seit ungefähr einem Jahr. Damals mussten wir die Ernährung unserer Samtpfoten total umstellen, weil sich unser Kittenweibchen vermutlich beim Impfen in einer Tierarztpraxis mit Giardien angesteckt hat. Alle Bemühungen mit Medikamenten und Reinigen ohne Ende haben nichts gebracht. Wir haben dann die Ernährung von Fischfutter aus der Büchse auf reines Muskelfleisch umgestellt. Um den Tieren genügend Nährstoffe und Vitamine sowie Mineralstoffe zuzuführen, haben wir ein Präparat gesucht, das alle Kriterien erfüllte und sind dabei auf Vitamin Optimix Feline gestossen. Mit dieser Kombination (Muskelfleisch und Optimix) haben wir innert weniger Wochen die Giardien besiegt. Ein Test auf Darmparasiten am Institut für Parasitologie des Universitätstierspitals war für beide Tiere negativ. Seither benützen wir Vitamin Optimix beim Füttern unserer Katzen täglich. Sei es mit Fisch oder sei es mit Fleisch. Wir können das Präparat jeder Katze empfehlen.
