GimCat Taurine Paste Extra with the innovative BIOACTIVE-TAURINE FORMULA effectively compensates for diet-related taurine deficiency. The perfect combination of taurine and mussel powder promotes the performance of the heart and eyes. The vitamin B complex and calcium it contains also support nerve and heart function as well as energy metabolism.
Taurine is an essential aminosulfonic acid that is normally produced in the liver. In cats, this is only possible to a very limited extent, as the corresponding enzyme systems in cats are barely active. Cats are dependent on ingesting enough taurine with their food, as otherwise dangerous deficiency symptoms can occur. A taurine deficiency usually only becomes noticeable gradually and is usually only noticed when irreversible damage has already occurred. For example, a cat with a taurine deficiency can suddenly go blind as a result of degeneration of the retina of the eye or the cat's heart is vulnerable.

The taurine paste is:
