Kobre®Pond starter bacteria

Kobre®Pond Starter Bacteria is a high-performance bacteria concentrate with a rapid effect. It quickly brings your filter up to high performance. Especially recommended after a filter restart, in spring or after using medication. Kobre® Pond Starter Bacteria considerably shortens the running-in period of the filter. The starter bacteria support the rapid breakdown of ammonium/ammonia and nitrite.

Recommended use for starter bacteria with activity indicator (100 ml bottle)

Please note: Only approx. 1/4 of the bottle is filled with bacteria. The rest must be filled with water according to the application recommendation.
Fill the bottle with 4 dl of pond or tap water, then close and shake vigorously. Then put away at room temperature. When the bacteria are activated, gases develop which can escape through the degassing cap. Therefore, please leave the lid closed. The bacteria go into solution and the liquid turns slightly red. As soon as the full biological effect has developed, the color changes to yellow. This usually takes between one and five hours, depending on the temperature of the solution. Then add the contents of the bottle to the pond filter.

• Switch off the UV-C lights for the first five days.
• Contents for 10,000 liters of pond water.

Recommended use for starter bacteria only dry substance (100g and 350g):
Sprinkle Kobre®Pond Sludge Killer evenly over the silty areas. The granules act locally. If necessary, repeat the application until the desired effect is achieved. Sludge killer is most effective at water temperatures above 15°C. Sludge decomposition takes longer in colder water due to the lower bacterial activity.

• Optimum effect from 15°C water temperature
• 5 l per 100,000 liters of pond water. Repeat after approx. 14 days until the desired effect is achieved.
