Kobre®San Gold Line Grow & Color sinking is a high-end koi food with a grain size of 6mm.

It is a sinking food for year-round use, up to 10 degrees water temperature.

This food has a high protein content, which is ideal for the growth of your fish. It is recommended for koi from 25cm and up to the age of seven, as the fish are in the strongest growth phase of their lives during this time.

The koi, or carp in nature, is a demersal fish with an undersized mouth. The primary benefit of sinking koi food is to feed the fish where they would eat in nature.
You often have shy koi in the pond that get little or insufficient food because the bolder fish are faster and greedier on the surface and therefore better fed. Here it is advisable to combine sinking food with the normal floating food.
In this way, even the shy koi always have enough food and are supplied with the necessary proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

Another possible use for sinking koi food is in mixed stocking with sturgeon. Communal sturgeon food, which is extremely high in fat, is often used. As sturgeon tend to be slower to feed, in most cases the koi get most of the sturgeon food. This leads to the koi becoming fatty and is not a healthy solution for your pond pets in the long term. If you replace the sturgeon food with a sinking koi food, you can avoid this situation and have vital and robust fish in your pond in the long term.
