Farrier's Finish fights bacterial and fungal infections that cause white line disease and thrush and improves hoof quality. It also helps to maintain optimum hoof moisture even in extremely wet or dry conditions.

Applications
Cracks in the hoof, old nail holes and a weakened structure of the hoof wall allow microbes to enter, resulting in crumbling hoof walls or white line disease. Thrush is a bacterial infection of the hoof sole and frog, usually in a moist environment.
Many commercially available hoof care products contain chemicals that denature the substance of the hoof and destroy its protective mechanisms. They harden the hoof and make it shiny; however, the chemically denatured hoof loses some of its elasticity, impact resistance and oxygen permeability. A hoof wall that is no longer elastic is more prone to breakage. A hoof wall that can no longer breathe properly cannot have a balanced moisture balance.

Ingredients

Grain extract, the lecithin extract of legumes, provides the air-permeable lipid lining that protects the hoof capsule from excess Moisture without impairing the hoof's air exchange.

Amino acids, in combination with the fatty acids in Farrier's Finish, act as a wetting agent similar to soap, but are less irritating to the tissue. This surface-active action allows Farrier's Finish to penetrate the smallest cracks and imperfections in the hoof capsule. Another benefit of the local application of amino acids is their ability to support the natural moisture regulation of the tissue and strengthen its structure.
Propane-1,2-diol, also known as propylene glycol, acts as a dispersant and preservative.
Tea tree oil is a vegetable oil that facilitates the penetration of active ingredients into the skin and acts gently against microorganisms.
Propan-2-ol, also known as isopropyl alcohol, is added to Farrier's Finish in minute quantities as a drying accelerator.
Iodine has an antimicrobial effect with only slight tissue irritation.
Yucca extract is obtained from plants and neutralizes the harmful ammonia in urine-soaked stables.
