PANTO grit food is a versatile all-round mixture for domestic wild birds and consists of high-quality cereals, nutritious sunflower seeds and energy-rich peanuts. The mixture is ideal for all grain-eating bird species and is one of the most popular classics among scatter feeds.

As the sunflower seeds have to be opened by the birds themselves, the food not only provides valuable nutrients, it also has to be worked for. In addition to the sunflower seeds, the peanuts contained serve as a particularly nutritious source of energy, which is particularly important in the cold season.

To attract soft feeders such as robins or blackbirds, it is advisable to combine the scattered feed with PANTO fat feed, for example. This creates a varied, species-appropriate mixture for a wide variety of bird species.

Both variants do not require shells and therefore ensure a particularly clean feeding area.

Ambrosia-controlled

An important quality aspect of bird food is the guaranteed absence of ragweed seeds. Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) is a highly allergenic, invasive plant. Even small amounts of its pollen can trigger severe allergic reactions such as hay fever, conjunctivitis or even asthma in sensitive people.
If ragweed is unintentionally spread in the garden or in the wild via contaminated bird food, it can spread rapidly and cause long-term ecological and health problems.

Ragweed plants are extremely robust, multiply rapidly and displace native plant species. This upsets the natural balance in local ecosystems.
Bird food without ragweed seeds therefore not only helps to protect your own health, but also to maintain a stable, species-rich plant world. It is therefore important to use tested, ambrosia-free feed mixtures to prevent the uncontrolled spread of this problematic plant.
