Why Pavo SOS Kit?
The SOS Kit is easy to prepare and vital for motherless foals or foals whose mother mare produces no or insufficient colostrum.
The SOS Kit contains
Pavo Colostrum - Biestmilch (2 bags of 150 g each)
- provides the newborn foal with vital antibodies against infections
- essential for the immune system in the first two days of life, reduces the risk of diarrhea
Pavo FoalMilk (1 bag of 1500 g)
- tailored to the special composition of mare's milk
Bottle with matching teat (1x) and detailed instructions

- If the foal refuses the colostrum, you can stimulate its appetite by putting a little sugar on its tongue
- Do not force the foal to eat by bending its head backwards. The foal cannot swallow well this way and there is a risk of milk getting into the lungs
- The maximum amount of foal milk is 100 ml per 10 kg body weight. This means that a 50 kg warmblood foal needs a maximum of 500 ml and a 30 kg pony foal a maximum of 300 ml
- Pay attention to hygiene. Prepare the milk with clean hands and rinse the teat, bottle and drinking bowls well after use
