Special nutritional requirements due to special characteristics
- A long and intensive growth phase, which requires a controlled energy supply and a targeted supply of nutrients for harmonious bone and muscle development and healthy joints.
- Relatively small digestive system and therefore a lower digestive capacity. The digestive system can still be very sensitive, especially in the first few months of life.
- Sensitive immune system, as the ability to produce its own antibodies is not yet sufficiently developed.
- Due to the special shape of the head with a short face and underbite (brachycephalic type), the boxer puppy has a special feeding technique.
Muscle development
