Before neutering, the cat's metabolism is adjusted to a diet with an almost constant energy content. The cat only eats until its energy requirements are met. After neutering, this natural regulation process is lost - the cat eats more than it needs, which quickly leads to obesity.

  • Just 48 hours after neutering, your cat's food intake increases by 20 %, while its energy requirements fall by approx. 30 % at the same time.
  • Urinary stones are more common in sterilized cats, especially if they are overweight, as they usually drink less and therefore pass less urine.

Controlled energy intake
