How to use Pill Assist?
Take Pill Assist between your thumb and index finger and insert the tablet or capsule with the other hand. With the hand that has not touched the tablet, squeeze the upper half of Pill Assist so that the mass is well sealed. Pill Assist is now closed and you can administer it to your dog.
For optimum acceptance, we recommend giving Pill Assist directly into the dog's mouth and not putting it in the food bowl.
Pill Assist is extremely palatable and encloses the tablet or capsule so tightly that the smell of the medication cannot escape. Some dogs swallow Pill Assist immediately, while others chew it a few times first.

Theoretically, Pill Assist can also be used for liquid medicine, but it may be difficult to fill the liquid without problems. In any case, Pill Assist should not be filled to the brim, as there must still be room to compress the product so that it is sealed. Ask your vet for advice.

How long does Pill Assist stay fresh once the pack has been opened?
The pack should always be kept tightly closed and stored in a dry place where it is neither too hot nor too cold. We recommend not using Pill Assist for longer than one month after opening the pack.

Can I also give Pill Assist to my dog as a pure reward?
It is not recommended to give Pill Assist as a treat.
However, you can give Pill Assist for the first time without the medication. Then your dog will think it is a treat the first time it is given with tablets or capsules and will happily eat it.

Information on shelf life:

PILL ASSIST generally has a shorter shelf life than other products in the Royal Canin range. Due to its composition, the product can dry out quickly and become deformed. This in turn can make it more difficult to administer the medication.

PILL ASSIST is shipped with a minimum shelf life of 3 months. Therefore, only order as much as you can feed within 3 months.
