Specific Senior Large & Giant Breed CGD-XL is a balanced dry food for your beloved dog.

Specific Senior Large & Giant Bre ed CGD-XL is made from highly digestible, high-quality ingredients and is therefore specially formulated to meet the needs of senior dogs of large and very large breeds. Dogs of this size show signs of age-related diseases and wear and tear of the joints earlier than smaller breeds. Feeding Specific Senior Large & Giant Breed CGD-XL slows down or even prevents the progression of disease symptoms and strengthens the functions of the kidneys, liver, heart and urinary tract thanks to the combination of a low phosphorus, protein and sodium content, the addition of omega-3 fatty acids and the use of high-quality proteins.

Basis for the composition

• The reduced protein, phosphorus and sodium content
  reduces the burden on the kidneys and slows down the progression of Renal insufficiency in older dogs. The biologically high-quality proteins provide a sufficient amount of essential amino acids.

• EPA and DHA
  are omega-3 fatty acids that support skin and coat functions and help to maintain healthy joints and mobility in older dogs.

• The increased crude fiber content
  leads to a slightly lower energy density. Benefits for older dogs, who are often less active and have lower energy requirements.

• ss-1.3/1.6-glucans (from yeasts)
  can bind to the receptors of white blood cells and thus stimulate the immune system and support an adequate immune response.

• Taurine
  is an important nutrient for many aspects of metabolism. Taurine is required to support heart muscle function.

Indications:

Not recommended for:

• Puppies
• pregnant or lactating bitches

The larger pellets encourage chewing movements and thus extend the eating time. This avoids "gulping down" the meal. PA and DHA from fish oil slow down the progression of Renal insufficiency in older dogs. This dry food contains mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS). MOS can bind pathogenic bacteria and thus prevent contact between the bacteria and the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract. This reduces the risk of bacterial diseases in older dogs. The increased crude fiber content reduces the risk of constipation, L-carnitine transports fatty acids to the mitochondria and stimulates fat burning, protects the muscles and helps to prevent obesity.
