Clicker training" is a gentle and quick training technique. The clicker is a small tool that produces a special signal: click-clack! At the beginning you show the animal that the signal announces the arrival of a treat. Once the animal has understood (typically after just 3 repetitions), the signal is a very effective way of facilitating the animal's association between its behavior and the reward. The special thing about this training is that "clicker training" uses rewards and not punishment. The reward for positive behavior motivates the animal to continue happily. With punishment methods, on the other hand, the dog does not understand what it has to do differently in order not to be punished. It lacks the indication of the positive impulse. As a result, the punishment methods discourage the dog and he becomes disgusted with the work.
