Thanks to its beautifully lacquered wood,the Flavio rodent hutch looks very appealing and is reminiscent of the typical Swedish style. The Flavio rodent hutch from swisspet is suitable for rabbits and guinea pigs. The hutch has two floors with a passageway and a connecting walkway, as well as a sleeping compartment and an easily removable plastic tray for easy cleaning. Measuring 116 x 61 x 107.2 cm, the hutch also fits perfectly on a balcony.

Wooden products should not be exposed to the elements without protection. Constant Moisture or standing directly in the snow leads to rapid wood ageing/wood decomposition. We recommend regular protective varnishing of the exterior wooden surfaces with animal-friendly varnish. Installation under a protective canopy is recommended.

Note: As guinea pigs and rabbits are social animals, they should be kept in a group of at least two animals for species-appropriate housing. Please also note that the animals should have several places to retreat to, preferably all together. There should also be several opportunities for the animals to keep themselves occupied.

The legally prescribed minimum dimensions are not the same as keeping the animals in the best possible conditions. Basically, the bigger the better. For a truly happy animal life, we therefore recommend choosing the largest possible shelter and, in the case of rabbits and guinea pigs, providing a permanent run of several square meters.
