The Roberto 150 winter hutch from swisspet is particularly suitable for colder days when kept outside thanks to the insulation material in the wooden walls and the plexiglass panes. The hutch is suitable for rabbits and guinea pigs. The equipment consists of 2 floors with a passageway, a connecting walkway, sleeping compartment and a pull-out plastic tray for easy cleaning!

Wood care:
Wooden products should not be exposed to the elements without protection. Constant Moisture or standing directly in the snow leads to rapid wood ageing/wood decomposition. We recommend regular protective coating of the exterior wooden surfaces with a non-toxic wood stain. Installation under a protective canopy is recommended. With the separately available thermal windbreak, you can also protect the animals from draughts and cold.

Note: As guinea pigs and rabbits are social animals, they should be kept in a group of at least two animals for species-appropriate housing. Please also note that the animals should have several places to retreat to, preferably all together. There should also be several opportunities for the animals to keep themselves occupied.

The legally prescribed minimum dimensions are not the same as keeping the animals in the best possible conditions. Basically, the bigger the better. For a truly happy animal life, we therefore recommend choosing the largest possible shelter and, in the case of rabbits and guinea pigs, providing a permanent run of several square meters.
