This Benno rodent hutch from swisspet has two levels and can be easily combined with a connecting bridge to form a run-on barn. The hutch and the run are suitable for guinea pigs and rabbits. The run-on barn can be easily separated from the hutch using a divider grid. The Benno rodent hutch features a sleeping compartment and a plastic tray that can be pulled out for easier cleaning. This hutch from swisspet is a comfortable sleeping spot on its own, but when combined with the Benno free-range enclosure, it becomes a dream home for your rabbits and/or guinea pigs. For even more space, you can also place a free-range enclosure on both sides of the hutch. A windbreak is available separately as an option for both the hutch and the run.

Wooden products should not be exposed to the elements without protection whenever possible. Constant moisture or placement directly in the snow leads to rapid wood aging/decay. We recommend regularly applying a protective coat of animal-friendly varnish to the exterior wooden surfaces.

Note: Since guinea pigs and rabbits are social animals, they should be kept in a group of at least two animals to ensure species-appropriate care. Please also note that the animals should have access to multiple hiding spots, ideally large enough to accommodate all animals together. Additionally, there should be various enrichment options available for the animals.

The legally prescribed minimum dimensions do not equate to the most species-appropriate care. As a general rule: the larger, the better. We therefore recommend choosing the largest possible enclosure for a truly happy animal life and ensuring that rabbits and guinea pigs have permanent access to several square meters of outdoor space.
