Tetra Algetten

Tetra Algetten is ideal for effectively controlling algae in freshwater aquariums up to 40 liters. It specifically inhibits the growth of unwanted algae, which not only detract from the appearance but can also disrupt plant growth and negatively affect the ecological balance in the aquarium.

The active ingredient is released evenly over a period of up to four weeks, ensuring long-lasting protection—without discoloring the water.

When used properly, Tetra Algetten is well tolerated by fish, plants, and microorganisms. It specifically targets the algae’s metabolism without harming other aquatic life.

To use, add one tablet per 10 liters of aquarium water to an area with good water circulation. If necessary, the treatment can be repeated after four weeks.

During use, ensure adequate aeration (e.g., with a Tetra APS air pump). It is also recommended to turn off UV clarifiers, avoid using activated carbon filtration, and refrain from performing water changes. Dead algae should be removed mechanically on a regular basis to maintain stable water quality.

For long-term algae prevention, it is advisable to subsequently monitor the nutrient levels in the aquarium and reduce them specifically, for example by lowering phosphate and nitrate levels with Tetra EasyBalance.
