Tetra pH/KH Plus

Tetra pH/KH Plus specifically and precisely increases the carbonate hardness (KH) in the aquarium, thereby improving living conditions for various fish species. Since both carbonate hardness (KH) and carbon dioxide (CO₂) levels have a direct influence on the pH value, this product allows for the precise regulation of important water parameters.

If the CO₂ content remains constant, the pH value can be specifically adjusted via the KH. This makes Tetra pH/KH Plus an indispensable tool for stabilizing the biological balance in the aquarium.

The product not only stabilizes the pH value but also prevents a dangerous drop in acidity, which can harm the health of the fish. For natural water conditions, an optimal balance between KH and pH is crucial.

Different fish species have different requirements:
Discus fish, for example, prefer a KH value below 5 °dH, while Lake Tanganyika cichlids require a KH value above 10 °dH. In general, a KH value of at least 3 °dH should be maintained to ensure a stable aquarium environment.

Tetra pH/KH Plus is suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums and is therefore versatile.

For regular monitoring of water parameters, we recommend using Tetra Test 7in1 water test strips to reliably monitor KH, pH, and other parameters.

Application is simple: Add 5 ml per 20 L of aquarium water to increase carbonate hardness by approx. 1 °dH. For a greater adjustment, the dosage can be increased accordingly (e.g., 10 ml for +2 °dH).

Important: The maximum increase of 3 °dH per day should not be exceeded to avoid stress for the aquarium inhabitants. For precise dosing, we recommend using the included dosing cap.

With Tetra pH/KH Plus, you can reliably maintain stable water parameters and create optimal conditions for a healthy, species-appropriate aquarium.
