Tetra PhosphateMinus is a reliable solution for effectively reducing phosphate (PO₄³⁻) in the aquarium. Phosphate occurs naturally in aquarium water through the decomposition of organic matter such as fish waste, uneaten food, or plant material.

Although phosphate plays an important role in plant growth and biological processes such as photosynthesis, an excessively high phosphate level (above 2 mg/l) can lead to unwanted algae and plant growth as well as a deterioration in water quality. Therefore, a low PO₄³⁻ level is crucial for a stable and healthy ecosystem in the aquarium.

Tetra PhosphateMinus gently and effectively removes excess phosphate and, when used properly, reduces the level by up to 2 mg/l. The water remains clear, as the product does not cause cloudiness and leaves no residue in the aquarium.

The active ingredient—an organic iron compound—is naturally broken down within 48 hours. Any remaining phosphate residues can then be absorbed and removed by the aquarium filter. Regular filter maintenance is therefore particularly important for optimal results.

Another benefit: Tetra PhosphateMinus reduces phosphate levels without affecting carbonate hardness (KH). This makes the product suitable for all freshwater aquariums, including sensitive systems with soft water.

Application is simple: Shake well before use and dose 10 ml per 40 L of aquarium water. For precise application, we recommend using the dosing cap. To achieve the desired phosphate level, repeat the dosing every two days until the target value is reached.

For best results, adequate aeration of the aquarium is also recommended (e.g., with a Tetra APS air pump) to support the activity of beneficial microorganisms and stabilize the biological balance.
