TetraMin Flakes float on the water’s surface, matching the natural feeding habits of surface-dwelling fish, such as many characins (like bell-belly characins and phantom characins) and livebearers (like platies and swordtails). TetraMin Crisps initially float on the water’s surface and then slowly sink, making them ideal for fish in the upper and middle water zones, such as rasboras, barbs, and larger characins. The third option, TetraMin Granules, sinks slowly to allow all fish in the middle water zone—such as smaller cichlids, Sumatran barbs, and rainbowfish—to feed naturally. The fourth compartment contains the TetraWafer Mix. These wafers sink quickly, making them perfect for all bottom-dwelling fish such as catfish.
