The Topmast whelping box offers bitches a comfortable and protected environment during the birth of their puppies. In this whelping box, the puppies find a safe retreat that shields them from external influences and other animals. As the puppies grow up, the run offers them the opportunity to run around and play.

The whelping box and run are easy to set up and can be customized by adding an additional whelping box or run extension. It is important to choose the size of the crate so that the bitch can lie comfortably in it and look after her puppies. To prevent accidental trapping of the puppies between the mother and the crate wall, safety tubes are fitted along the sides. The height of these tubes can be adjusted to ensure sufficient space for the puppies underneath. A Phillips screwdriver for attaching the tubes is included. No tools are required for the rest of the assembly of the whelping box.

The edges of the whelping box consist of three boards of approx. 15.3 cm each that are placed on top of each other. An entrance for the bitch can be created on one side by inserting just 1 or 2 boards. The whelping box has no floor.

It is advisable to place the whelping box in a quiet place to give the bitch a feeling of well-being and security and not to disturb her. During the birth and in the first few weeks afterwards, it is very important that the bitch has sufficient rest and can concentrate on rearing the puppies.

The whelping box and run are made of PVC and are easy to set up and clean.
