Cleaning:

If the Vital Falls is used by an animal, the water should be changed at least every two days. The filter and pump should be cleaned once a week (depending on the frequency of use). If there are several animals, at correspondingly shorter intervals. To clean, simply remove the pump and clean the plastic parts and the filter.

The fountain itself is made of ceramic and is therefore dishwasher-safe. If the water is hard, it is advisable to use non-carbonated mineral water rather than tap water. If you still use tap water, it is necessary to clean the pump more frequently to prevent limescale build-up. Otherwise, it will be necessary to treat the pump with a descaler from time to time.

Acclimatization:

To get very skittish animals used to the Vital Falls, place a few treats on the edge of the drinking fountain, for example. This will help your pet to associate the Vital Falls with a positive experience.
