Trovet Renal & Oxalate RID is a dietary food for dogs with Renal insufficiency or urinary crystals.

Renal & Oxalate has been specially developed to meet the health requirements of dogs with chronic kidney failure.
The diet is low in protein and phosphorus, which prevents the accumulation of waste products, reduces the burden on the kidneys and ultimately slows down the progression of kidney failure.
The proteins used are of high quality to meet amino acid requirements without leading to excess waste products. The energy density of Renal & Oxalate reduces feed volume to help animals with loss of appetite meet their daily energy requirements.

The Renal & Oxalate diet has also been developed to reduce the formation of calcium oxalate. The intake of potassium citrate has a pH-increasing effect in the urine, which reduces the excretion of calcium in the urine. In addition, citrate is able to bind calcium, which can reduce the occurrence of calcium oxalate formation in the urine.
Renal & Oxalate is also high in vitamin B6, which prevents the formation of oxalate due to vitamin B6 deficiency.

Directions for use:
It is recommended to seek the opinion of a veterinarian before use. The recommended duration of use for Renal & Oxalate is initially up to 6 months. After extending the duration of use, Renal & Oxalate can be fed for life as a complete dietary food.
