VetPlus Cobalin®
Oral supplementation for cobalamin deficiency in dogs and cats. A feed supplement that makes daily treatment easier for the pet and the owner.
Cobalin contains high doses of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) and folic acid to compensate for nutritional or disease-related deficiencies (e.g. due to diseases of the pancreas, especially exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, or chronic intestinal diseases).
Daily administration is particularly uncomplicated, as the capsules can be opened and mixed with the food or given whole.

Cobalamin (vitamin B 12)
Cobalamin is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in many physiological processes. For example, it is involved in cell metabolism, DNA synthesis, amino acid metabolism, fatty acid metabolism and the formation of red blood cells. The main source of vitamin B12 for dogs and cats is food.
Dogs and cats with a vitamin B12 deficiency often suffer from digestive problems. However, it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish whether the complaints are a cause or a consequence of the deficiency.
Folic acid (vitamin B 9)
Folic acid is an artificial form of folate and is also an important water-soluble vitamin B. Folate plays an important role in DNA synthesis and repair and is therefore essential for cell division and growth. Cells with a high cell division rate, such as red blood cells, white blood cells and intestinal cells, therefore have a high requirement for folic acid.
Up to 60% of dogs and cats with chronic digestive problems may be deficient in cobalamin and almost half of dogs with cobalamin deficiency are also deficient in folic acid.
Sprinkle capsules can be opened and mixed with the feed or given as a whole.

Darf ich diese Steukapseln auch bei Niereninsuffizienz geben?
Your iPet team Es besteht keine Kontraindikation bei chronischer Niereninsuffizienz. Cobalamin (Vitamin B12) kann Katzen mit Niereninsuffizienz verabreicht werden. Niereninsuffizienz kann zu einer verminderten Fähigkeit führen, Vitamin B12 zu absorbieren und zu speichern, was bei betroffenen Katzen zu einem Mangel führen kann.

Meine 18-jährige Katze bekommt Thiamatab, Amodip, Pregabalin, CBD und Pronefra. CBD mit mind. 2 Std. Abstand zu den Medikamenten. Bestehen Wechselwirkungen zwischen Cobalin und den anderen Medikamenten/Futterzusätzen? Wenn ja, welcher zeitliche Abstand wird bei der Gabe empfohlen?
Your iPet team Nach derzeitigem Kenntnisstand bestehen keine klinisch relevanten Wechselwirkungen zwischen Cobalin und den von Ihnen aufgeführten Medikamenten (Thiamatab, Amodip, Pregabalin) oder den weiteren Ergänzungsmitteln (CBD, Pronefra). Aus diesem Grund ist bei der Gabe von Cobalin kein spezifischer zeitlicher Abstand zu den anderen Präparaten erforderlich. Sie können es problemlos zeitgleich mit den anderen Medikamenten oder zusammen mit einer Mahlzeit verabreichen.

Your iPet team Cobalin und Lypex können Ihrer 15-jährigen Katze zusammen verabreicht werden. Cobalin liefert Vitamin B12, welches oft bei chronischen Magen-Darm-Erkrankungen und Pankreasinsuffizienz empfohlen wird. Lypex ist ein Pankreasenzymersatzpräparat. Eine gleichzeitige Gabe ist unproblematisch und kann sich sinnvoll ergänzen.

Your iPet team Cobalin ist für Katzen mit Diabetes, IBD und Pankreatitis geeignet. Es enthält Vitamin B12 und B9, die bei chronischen Magen-Darm-Erkrankungen oft unzureichend aufgenommen werden. Es enthält zwar Maltodextrin als Trägerstoff. Diese minimale Menge hat bei korrekter Dosierung aber keinen klinisch relevanten Einfluss auf den Blutzuckerspiegel einer diabetischen Katze. Eine Alternative ohne Maltodextrin ist das Cobalaplex von Protexin, das für Ihre Katze ebenfalls geeignet ist.

Ich habe heute meiner Katze das erste Mal Cobalin gegeben. Sie hat sehr dünnen Durchfall bekommen . Kann es sein, dass dies am Medikament liegt?
