Vitana BARF’er Plus is a high-quality supplemental feed developed specifically for the needs of dogs fed according to the BARF principle (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food). The carefully formulated blend of natural vitamins, minerals, and trace elements supports a balanced diet and ensures that your dog receives all the essential nutrients that raw meat alone does not always provide in sufficient quantities.

A diet consisting solely of meat is by no means sufficient to keep a dog healthy in the long term. Wolves, the ancestors of our dogs, eat whole prey animals in the wild, including the gastrointestinal tract, which contains pre-digested plant material. In addition, they consume blood, bones, and various organ meats, which serve as natural sources of minerals. If we feed our domestic dogs exclusively fresh muscle meat, they will quickly become deficient in vital vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber. Without a suitable BARF supplement, deficiency symptoms may arise, manifesting as a dull coat, chronic digestive problems, or a weakened immune system. This dietary supplement for dogs was developed by experts to proactively address precisely these deficiencies. Dried vegetables and herb blend: These components not only provide essential crude fiber for healthy gastrointestinal motility but also valuable phytochemicals that act as natural antioxidants.
Indian psyllium: Psyllium husks are characterized by their tremendous swelling capacity. They gently regulate bowel function. In cases of constipation, they make stool more slippery; in cases of a tendency toward diarrhea, they bind excess fluid, leading to optimized nutrient absorption.
Carob and wheat germ: Carob is known for its gently soothing effect on the gastrointestinal tract as well as its appetite-stimulating properties. Wheat germ is naturally rich in micronutrients and supports an active metabolism.
Vitamin complex: Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D3, E, niacin, and pantothenic acid provide essential micronutrients. Minerals and trace elements: Calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, copper, and iodine strengthen the immune system, bones, skin, and nerves. 

For optimal nutrition, we recommend a daily supplement of 1–2 tablespoons of cold-pressed oil — for essential fatty acids and better vitamin absorption.
