Audevard Lactofoal

Lactofoal from Audevard is a milk replacer for the rearing and gradual weaning of orphan foals, to supplement the mother's milk in the event of insufficient lactation of the mare and for the period after weaning.

Lactofoal is appreciated for its comprehensive formula that provides the foal with targeted nutrients, taking into account its specific needs: horse-specific protein and fat content, optimum protein quality, supply of pro- and prebiotics. The milk substitute is supplied in powder form and dissolves easily in water.

Each pack comes with a teat that fits onto a conventional bottle.

Information on doping relevance in our products is based on the manufacturer's specifications and is not regularly updated. In particular, the list of doping-relevant substances of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) was used for the evaluation. However, it should be noted that national doping regulations may deviate from these international guidelines. In addition, the relevance of doping, especially of herbal ingredients, is subject to continuous change. For this reason, we recommend that you regularly inform yourself about the latest data in equestrian sport by consulting the FEI list of prohibited substances .

Daily dose: Dissolve 2 measuring spoons of powder in 1 liter of lukewarm water. Shake well to obtain a uniform liquid. The finished milk should be approx. 35 °C warm when fed to the foal. Milk prepared in advance can be stored in the refrigerator for 24 hours. The quantities to be fed depend on the breed and the foal's state of health. Adjust the quantity and frequency of feedings gradually, using the following guidelines:

Day 1: 8 liters of milk per day (1 liter every 3 hours),
Day 10: 12 liters of milk per day (2 liters every 4 hours or 25% of body weight in the form of milk replacer per day),
From 1 month: 15 liters of milk per day (3 liters every 5 hours).

Gradually switch to dry feed between the 3rd and 4th month and wean the foal.
Food supplement for foals after weaning: add 10 scoops of Lactofoal per day to the ration and gradually reduce the amount.
