Actea® Oto
Actea® Oto is a soothing and disinfecting ear solution for dogs and cats.
Due to its cerumenolytic and hygienizing properties, Actea™ Oto can be used to prevent ear infections in sensitive ears. Actea™ Oto is also recommended for the supportive treatment of inflammation of the external auditory canal.
Actea™ Oto contains LAS®, a patented blend of 3 natural ingredients to fight inflammation, itching, bacterial and fungal infections: Lactoferricin, GPI (Glycerophosphoinositol Lysine) and Verbascoside (Dermasyr®). This innovative, scientifically proven and specific combination of natural ingredients helps to maintain the physiological balance in the ear canal, cleanses the ear canal of excessive wax and secretions associated with ear odor and soothes the skin of the external auditory canal.
Application:
apply 4 - 8 drops into the ear canal twice a day, depending on the size of the animal. Then gently massage the base of the pinna from the outside for optimum distribution of the solution in the ear canal. Use for at least 10 consecutive days until the ear canal is clean and free of earwax and secretions. Please follow your vet's recommendations!

Ist jedoch in der Applikation nicht ganz einfach. Aus der Tube kommt reichlich Produkt. Zuviel für ein Ohr. Somit wird der Überschuss herausgeschüttelt und verteilt sich auf Möbeln und Kleidung.

Dosierung/Konsistenz
Die Dosierung gestaltet sich aufgrund der sehr zähflüssigen Konsistenz leider als ziemlich mühsam. Dabei bleibt viel Produkt aussen an der Pipette haften, was nicht nur unpraktisch ist, sondern auch zu einem unnötigen Produktverlust führt.
Zur Wirksamkeit kann ich zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt (noch) keine Aussage treffen.
Aufgrund der schwierigen Handhabung würde ich das Produkt jedoch nicht erneut kaufen. -
