Why CAVALOR® Electroliq Balance?

Electrolytes (potassium, chloride, sodium) in combination with a sufficient feed intake are elements that ensure that the water exchange in the cells functions optimally. If the horse sweats heavily during hard work, stress or high temperatures, a lot of electrolytes are lost. As a result, water exchange in the muscle cells and consequently muscle contractions slow down. This can lead to weakness and muscle cramps.

After a major effort that is accompanied by heavy sweating, it is very important to restore the water-electrolyte balance as quickly as possible. This ensures that the horse is fresh again shortly after the exertion. In order to achieve optimum regeneration of the body after a major effort, it is advisable to administer the electrolytes together with 1 kg of easily digestible grain within one hour of the end of the effort. The horse must always have access to fresh water.

The liquid form is a practical alternative to other complementary food, which is usually available in powder form. The liquid form makes it possible to distribute this product homogeneously in the feed, so that nothing is lost or left at the bottom of the feed trough.

Tip: Use Cavalor Electroliq Balance preferably on warm days, after strenuous training or during long journeys. For horses that drink less in other places due to the different taste of the water, adding Electroliq Balance to the drinking water can be a solution. However, it is advisable to first test at home whether the horse drinks enough when Electroliq Balance is added. At competitions you can use Cavalor Energy Booster (paste in tubes), which also contains electrolytes, but is also enriched with vitamin B and amino acids.
