Equine America Tye-Gard Solution
Intense training programs, traveling, competing and racing require extreme efforts from the horse's muscles. In addition, certain genetic conditions, nutritional imbalances or management factors such as irregular training schedules can lead to muscle disorders that are sometimes unrelated to extreme training.
Tye-Gard can help support muscle health and recovery, including providing increased levels of key antioxidants to support muscle cell membrane integrity, including not only vitamin E, selenium and copper, but also plant-based ingredients with potent antioxidant properties.
During strenuous training, lactic acid builds up in the muscle. As a result, many horses suffer from muscle stiffness or cramps during or after work and appear tense. Tye-Gard contains absorbable vitamin E and selenium in human pharmaceutical quality. These substances are involved in the development of healthy muscle tissue and ensure that the muscle can reach its full potential and work more effectively. The recommended dose corresponds to the EU limit values for selenium supplementation.
Tye-Gard can be given daily to horses in high performance training or competition horses for optimal muscle health.
The unique blend of ingredients includes:
- Vitamin E and selenium - two important antioxidant micronutrients that scavenge free radicals generated during exercise to reduce oxidative damage to muscle cells.
- Melon pulp concentrate is naturally rich in an important antioxidant enzyme, superoxide dismutase (SOD)
- Beet contains a high proportion of betalain pigments, which have high antioxidant activity.
- Bioavailable chelated copper also plays a role in the production of important antioxidant enzymes and helps to support muscle health.
- Calcium gluconate - recent research has confirmed the importance of calcium transport across muscle cell membranes for optimal muscle function.
- Glycine - an important amino acid for the production of glutathione, an important antioxidant for muscle support.
