This information is only a guide, as the needs of animals vary. Adjust the amount of food to achieve the optimum body weight and mix progressively larger amounts of the new food with progressively smaller amounts of the usual food over a period of 7 days. WELPENScience Plan Puppy Small & Miniature is fed to small breed puppies up to 1 year of age. For puppies during weaning, soak the pellets in warm water and mix them into a mash. Gradually reduce the amount of water added until the puppy is eating the dry pellets and the daily amount required for the individual puppy may vary considerably. Therefore, these feeding amounts should be adjusted to maintain optimal body weight and divided into 2-4 meals per day (this number may decrease with age).

PREGNANCY
The amount of Science Plan Puppy Small & Miniature fed to pregnant bitches depends on the stage of pregnancy. Pregnancy is often not recognized until the 4th or 5th week Lactating bitches should be fed unlimited amounts of Science Plan Puppy Small & Miniature (i.e. feeding ad libitum) until weaning.
