Barn Bag is particularly suitable for horses with obesity, metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance, Cushing's disease or horses prone to laminitis. Barn Bag Adult Maintenance is a low-calorie and low-starch supplementary feed. It provides the horse with all the important vitamins, minerals, amino and fatty acids on a daily basis. As a concentrated source of nutrients, Barn Bag optimizes the utilization of hay and pasture feed.

The problem
Nutrients added to the compound feed are forcibly fed to the horse in uncontrolled doses in order to achieve the calorie intake required to maintain weight. This leads to oversupply with poorer feed converters, as larger quantities are fed, while animals with low energy requirements receive too little of the supplements.

The solution
By feeding Barn Bag instead of compound feed, a horse receives the nutrients it needs without additional, excess calories. Barn Bag is suitable for horses that should be fed low carbohydrates, good feed converters with and without obesity, as well as animals with insulin resistance, Cushing's syndrome, metabolic syndrome or laminitis. 85 g Barn Bag per day is sufficient to supply an average 450 kg horse with nutrients.

If your horse is a poor feed metabolizer, needs to maintain or increase its weight or compete, it may need an additional source of calories. In these cases, you should give the horse beet pulp or vegetable oil in addition to Barn Bag and whole oats.
