Lunderland Can of lean beef

Lunderland - feeding with personal responsibility!

Lean beef.
Lunderland canned beef is part of the meat diet when barfing overweight dogs and cats.

Meat is the main component of a healthy and species-appropriate diet for dogs and cats, but should be supplemented with carbohydrates, among other things.

Lunderland meat tins:

  • 100 % lean meat from beef
  • A cut of meat from a single animal species
  • Single protein; suitable for allergy sufferers

The total amount of feed required (meat and supplements) is highly dependent on age, breed and husbandry conditions.
Depending on size, age, breed and husbandry conditions, feed about 1/3 vegetables to 2/3 meat per meal. The total amount of food should be about 2.5-3% of the body weight.

The meat doses are 100% fully declared. Apart from the declared meat parts, no by-products are cooked into the Can. The protein and fat content in the cans correspond to the natural values of the raw product. No fats or other protein sources are added.
The extremely low levels of Crude fiber and Crude ash prove that no fillers have been used.
It goes without saying that our cans are free from colorants, flavorings or preservatives and contain no synthetic vitamins or minerals.
To put it simply: what is not on the label is not in the Can, and what is on the label is in the Can.

All Lunderland meat doses should be supplemented with a calcium supplement (e.g. Lunderland algae lime or Lunderland organic eggshell meal), and additionally with vegetable products (e.g. Lunderland flake mixtures) and oils (cod liver oil, salmon oil, evening primrose oil, borage oil, leashes oil and hemp oil). Cats should also be given green-lipped mussel powder to cover their taurine requirements.

The company Lunderland, based in Lüchow, Germany, emphasizes personal responsibility when feeding dogs and cats:
Lundersland's food range is aimed at pet owners who do not want to feed their animals complete foods.
Lundersland is convinced that a healthy diet is always a varied diet and is based on the freshest, unprocessed food possible.

Meat is the main component of a healthy and species-appropriate diet for dogs and cats, but should be supplemented with carbohydrates, among other things. The total amount of food required (meat and supplements) is highly dependent on age, breed and housing conditions. Depending on size, age, breed and husbandry conditions, feed about 1/3 vegetables to 2/3 meat per meal.

The total amount of food should be about 2.5-3% of the body weight.

Lunderland Can is produced without emulsifiers, stabilizers, salt, protein extracts or added fats. Moisture or fats that may have escaped from the processed meat are not hidden, but are visible as you would expect from home cooking. Both natural components of the meat should also be fed.

Lunderland recommends the following feed composition:

(a) young animals: due to the high protein requirement during growth, meat approx. 80 %, cereals and vegetables approx. 20 % (wet weight).

b) adult animals: meat approx. 60 % - 70 %, grain and vegetables approx. 30 % - 40 % (wet weight).

c) Older animals: Older animals may have a lower protein requirement (e.g. due to reduced activity). In this case, we recommend the following feed distribution for seniors: approx. 50 % meat, approx. 50 % cereals and vegetables (wet weight). If your pet is still fit and active in old age, the protein intake does not necessarily have to be reduced, but in this case it is good to feed high-quality and easily digestible protein. In addition to meat, cereals and vegetables, treat your pet to some fruit!

Grain can be fed as flakes that you soak in hot water or broth. You can also feed cooked rice or pasta (both whole grain!). The rice grains should be crushed, otherwise some animals will excrete them undigested.

Although many commercially available mixed flakes advertise "with vegetables", we believe that the vegetable content of less than 10 % is too low. When using such flakes, we recommend adding additional vegetables. However, you can also enhance them with vegetable flakes or dried vegetables. Ideally, a ready-made cereal/vegetable mix should contain at least 20 % vegetables.

Boiled potatoes, turnips, carrots and pulses (beans, lentils, peas) are suitable vegetables. Legumes must be crushed or flaked, otherwise they will be excreted undigested. Carrots can also be given raw, finely grated under the meat. Finely chopped spinach is also recommended.

Many fruits, especially berries, are part of the diet of wolves and wild dogs. Many dogs like raspberries, blackberries, fully ripe gooseberries and also apples or pears.

If our cans are fed permanently, they should be supplemented with a calcium supplement and natural vitamin carriers, as the vitamins suffer when cooked under pressure (autoclaving). Suitable sources include: Cod liver oil or raw beef liver (vitamin A + D3), Lunderland brewer's yeast (vitamin B complex), and possibly Lunderland rosehip peel (vitamin C) and a suitable organic vegetable oil from the first, cold pressing (vitamin E).
