Sanoro pure rabbit

Sanoro pure rabbit consists of almost 100 % rabbit muscle meat gently prepared in its own juice. A very small amount of cartilage may be present due to processing. The single protein makes this pure meat variety ideal for sensitive dogs of all breeds and ages. Also ideal for exclusion diets or BARF.

No added colorants, flavourings or preservatives. No synthetic (artificial) vitamins or synthetic minerals are added. Our pure meat cans are pure muscle meat and are cooked in their own juice without the addition of salt or minerals.
Sanoro also does not use any binding agents, which means that the consistency may vary and there may be a liquid component. This meat broth should be fed along with the food as it contains important nutrients. Depending on the temperature of the Can and the content of natural gelatine (contained in the meat), the broth may also gel. This is a sign that no binding agents have been used.

Please note:
Consistency: Medium-firm and pâté-like.
Small pieces of meat and fat are visible. Liquid slightly gelled. Consistency and smell vary from batch to batch due to the different age, sex or origin of the animals.

Origin: Depending on availability, the rabbits used for pure rabbit come either from wild game (in which case the meat in the Can is darker) or from barn-raised animals (lighter meat).
In both cases, the meat usually comes from southern Europe.

Note 1:
Depending on the availability of raw materials, we also process rabbits from the wild in addition to barn rabbits - these are inevitably shot with buckshot. Sanoro uses metal detectors to recognize the shot. In very rare cases, however, a shot pellet may still be processed.
Note 2:
Sanoro minces the meat with a 10 mm slice. In rare cases, cartilage and pieces of bone may adhere to the meat in the food. Sanoro does not want to grind the meat any finer than this, as the food would otherwise be completely structureless.
