SPECIFIC Skin Function Support FOD

Properties:
Exceptionally high concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) from fish oil. These omega-3 fatty acids can influence the immune response by participating in eicosanoid production. EPA and DHA can weaken the immune response in the skin through the production of anti-inflammatory eicosanoids. This is why SPECIFIC™ FΩD Skin Function Support is the ideal food for atopic people. EPA also reduces inflammation and collagen breakdown in the joints of cats with arthritis.
Exceptionally high concentrations of omega-6 fatty acids, GLA from borage oil. GLA can influence the immune response by being involved in eicosanoid production. Increased levels of GLA have been shown to reduce signs of arthritis. By producing anti-inflammatory eicosanoids, the dietary food can help reduce pain in arthritis patients. GLA is also effective in the case of dermatological problems in cats with reduced delta-6-reductase activity.
The skin has an active metabolism and a high demand for nutrients. With increased concentrations of vitamins A, E, B-complex, zinc and selenium, SPECIFIC™ FΩD Skin Function Support supports the health and quality of the skin and coat.
The food is extremely palatable and is an easy way to provide cats with additional fatty acids.
The individual daily requirement can vary depending on factors such as breed, environment, season and activity etc.. It is therefore advisable to monitor the general condition and body weight and adjust the amount of food accordingly.
