TRM Hoofmaker Pellets
Hoofmaker Pellets provide all the essential nutrients needed to protect and nourish every layer of the hoof horn. This sulfur-rich formula ensures that important nutrients are incorporated into the horse’s diet to optimize hoof growth and improve hoof structure.
The product contains a concentrated source of the sulfur-containing amino acid methionine as well as the sulfur-rich nutrient MSM (methylsulfonylmethane). Keratin sulfate, the primary structural component of the hoof horn, has a high sulfur content. Hoofmaker Pellets also contain a very high amount of biotin—37.5 mg per daily ration—for optimal hoof health.
In addition, the product contains calcium, which is necessary for the stability of the hoof wall, as well as zinc, which is required for the healing of all epidermal tissues. Other amino acids contained in the product serve as essential building blocks for protein formation.
