TVM Carbodote - Drinking solution with vegetable activated charcoal

Carbodote TVM is a drinking solution with vegetable activated charcoal for use after the ingestion of undesirable substances and for digestive complaints.

Activated charcoal has strong adsorbent properties that act non-specifically against a large number of potentially toxic elements and compounds (drugs, animal feed, plants, etc.) or indigestion-causing substances (gases, bacteria, etc.).

After oral administration, it is not absorbed through the mucous membrane. In this way, it lines the intestinal wall and adsorbs unwanted substances, preventing their absorption into the bloodstream.

How to use

Oral application. Shake bottle before use.

Absorption of an undesirable substance:

administer 2 to 5 ml of Carbodote per kg, depending on the amount of undesirable substance ingested, orally or by gavage. If necessary, the application can be repeated every 4 to 6 hours within 24 hours. If a large amount of undesirable substance has been ingested, the recommended dose of Carbodote can be increased 4-fold (i.e. up to 20 ml/kg). If this is possible and there are no contraindications, vomiting should be induced in the animal as a preliminary therapeutic measure within the first 6 hours after ingestion of an undesirable substance.

Digestive disorders:

Oral administration of 0.5 ml Carbodote per kg, morning and evening until the desired effect is achieved. The preparation should be administered at an interval (approx. 3 hours) from food intake and oral medication.

Your vet can adjust the instructions for use, please follow his advice. The preparation leads to a black discoloration of the faeces. The product may stain textiles.
