VetPlus URINAID

Vetplus Urinaid offers a unique combination of four ingredients: D-Mannose, Cranberry, Pomegranate and Ashwagandha. It supports the urinary tract in several ways: antibacterial adhesion, antibacterial expansion and tension release. The tablets are very palatable and are considered a treat by most dogs. Vetplus Urinaid is supplied in a practical blister pack in which the tablets are easy to store and do not absorb Moisture.

Properties of the 4 natural ingredients:

  • D-Mannose: D-Mannose is a natural, simple sugar that prevents bad bacteria (E.Coli) from attaching to the bladder wall. It is absorbed 8 times slower than glucose and has little effect on blood sugar levels. When it is absorbed, it is not converted into glycogen or stored in the liver like normal sugar, but passes directly through the bloodstream to the kidneys and bladder. There, the E. coli bacteria bind to the D-mannose and are excreted in the urine.
  • Cranberry: Cranberry extract helps to acidify the urine. Cranberry naturally contains proanthocyanidins (OPC), which neutralize free radicals and prevent the adhesion of harmful organisms to the cells of the bladder and urinary tract. Cranberry is also used to reduce the unpleasant odor of urine as it reduces the strong smell of ammonia.
  • Pomegranate: The pomegranate extract used in Urinaid is standardized with punicalagins. These polyphenols bind to bacteria and prevent them from spreading.
  • Ashwagandha: Ashwagandha is an extract from the root and contains saponins, withanolides and alkaloids. These are said to have a tension-relieving effect (Grandhi A., Mujumdar A.M., Patwardhan B., 1994).

Mein Schnauzer (15 kg) bekäme also 1 1/2 Tabletten täglich. Soll ich diese Dosis in einem Mal geben oder in 3x 1/2? Spielt die Tageszeit keine Rolle, also morgens oder abends, vor oder nach dem Fressen?

Urinaid ist ein Ergänzungsfuttermittel, das spezifisch zur Unterstützung der Blasenfunktion entwickelt wurde. Sollten Sie bei Ihrem Welpen Anzeichen von Harnwegsproblemen beobachten, wie beispielsweise häufigen Harnabsatz, Schmerzen oder Blut im Urin, ist eine umgehende Abklärung durch Ihren behandelnden Tierarzt unerlässlich. Dieser kann feststellen, ob eine Indikation für ein Produkt wie Urinaid vorliegt. Von einer Gabe ohne tierärztliche Anweisung raten wir bei einem so jungen Tier ab.
