almapharm GastroCalm
GastroCalm was developed to balance the increased need for specific nutrients and active ingredients in dogs and cats - whether temporarily or permanently. The product supports the natural formation of mucus in the stomach lining and thus protects against the irritating effect of hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes in gastric juice.
An increased need for mucous membrane-protecting substances can occur in animals with stress-related strain, age-related decline in mucous membrane function or with the administration of medication (e.g. NSAIDs).
The gastric mucosa forms an important barrier against aggressive components of gastric juice such as hydrochloric acid and pepsin. In addition to an active blood flow and rapid cell renewal, mucus and bicarbonate-secreting cells in particular provide protection. These form a protective film and neutralize the stomach acid in the immediate vicinity of the stomach wall.
Heteropolysaccharide-based mucilages can help to reinforce this protective film if the body's own mucus production is insufficient - provided that they remain stable even under highly acidic conditions and form a gel. The selection and production of plant mucilage play a central role here.
However, caution is advised with alkalizing substances such as aluminium hydroxide or calcium carbonate. Excessive neutralization of stomach acid can disrupt protein digestion and increase the risk of dysbiosis, as the natural hygiene function of stomach acid is weakened.
Functional food components such as banana flour or fermented soy products (e.g. from the Asian diet), on the other hand, show versatile potential: they buffer locally produced acid (e.g. by H. pylori), promote the formation of protective prostaglandins (PGE2) and antioxidant enzymes such as SOD - and at the same time inhibit inflammation-promoting cytokines as well as cholesterol and triglyceride-increasing risk factors.
GastroCalm combines this knowledge in a balanced feed supplement for the natural support of gastric function.

Mein Hund hat ein Magengeschwür und bekommt aktuell sucrabest und pantropazol. Ich habe sas Präparat zuhause und könnte ich es als Unterstützung mit ins Futter geben oder eher nicht … lieber erst nach der Behandlung wenn sich alles beruhigt hat ?
Your iPet team Guten Tag, dieses Ergänzungsmittel kann durchaus zusätzlich zur Behandlung Ihres Hundes verabreicht werden. Ich rate Ihnen jedoch, Ihren Hund zunächst mit den Medikamenten zu behandeln und erst nach einer Woche mit der Gabe dieses Ergänzungsmittels zu beginnen, wenn die Wunden nicht mehr allzu stark schmerzen, da ich nicht weiss, ob Ihr Hund empfindlich auf die Inhaltsstoffe dieses Produkts reagiert. Es kann danach über mehrere Wochen verabreicht werden.

Très efficace
Mon chien vomissait 2 à 3x par semaine à jeun et mangeait beaucoup d’herbe. Sa muqueuse était irritée et les vomissements souvent oranges. Pas de solutions trouvées avec notre vétérinaire mis à part de fractionner les repas. Cela s’est amélioré mais les vomissements étaient toujours avec des traces d’irritation. Depuis que je lui donne ce produit (2 mois) il n’a plus vomi une seule fois et il mange beaucoup moins d’herbe. Je suis ravie de ce produit. Après avoir essayé beaucoup d’autres produits et médicaments, nous avons enfin trouvé ce qui l’aide.
