This challenge gave rise to the idea of developing a dog food that is uncompromising in its commitment to quality, digestibility, and natural ingredients.

The Creation of LEITWOLF®

In 2020, the development of a dog food began with a clear goal: to create a food that is consistently tailored to the dog’s needs.

Together with experienced nutrition experts and long-standing partners in the pet food industry, a high-quality recipe was created, which was developed, tested, and optimized over many months. The first LEITWOLF® food went into production as early as 2021.

The result is a modern dog food based on the principle:

Developed for sensitive dogs – suitable for all dogs.

The recipes are characterized by particularly high palatability and excellent digestibility. Many dog owners report positive changes after just a short time.

Patented minimal-heat technology for maximum nutrient availability

A unique selling point of LEITWOLF® is its patented minimal-heat technology. It combines a gentle slow-cooking process with modern just-in-time production.

Unlike many conventional dry foods, the raw ingredients are not processed under high pressure and extreme temperatures. Instead, production takes place at temperatures of no more than 90 °C.

The benefits of this gentle processing:

Temperature-sensitive ingredients are added only after the actual cooking process to best preserve their quality.

Furthermore, neither raw materials nor finished croquettes are stored in silos. Direct processing and packaging help ensure that LEITWOLF® remains free of feed mites.
